Talent Tent is proud to have been engaged by our client in the e-commerce gifting industry to find an experienced Ecommerce specialist for this newly-created role. Our client is an established business that is evolving their brand and scaling their offering, and this role will play a critical part in driving customer acquisition, retention, and overall online performance.

We are looking for a commercially driven and data-led Head of Ecommerce to take ownership of their online performance across both their Shopify website and marketplaces (specifically Amazon). Reporting into the Head of Marketing, this role will be responsible for driving revenue, improving conversion, and optimising the full customer journey across all ecommerce touchpoints. This role will lead the ecommerce team, with responsibility for setting direction, prioritising activity, and ensuring delivery against key commercial objectives.

What to expect
  • Own and deliver ecommerce revenue, including annual and monthly sales forecasts for budgeting, seasonal events, and day-to-day procurement.
  • Oversee day-to-day trading across the website.
  • Monitor performance against forecast, and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Own overall online acquisition performance across key channels including SEO and PPC.
  • Work closely with channel specialists to set strategy, targets, and priorities.
  • Ensure paid and organic activity is aligned to commercial objectives and trading plans.
  • Optimise performance of both core and dropship product ranges.
  • Take full ownership of Amazon performance.
  • Own the end-to-end online customer journey, identifying opportunities to improve conversion and user experience.
  • Lead and develop the ecommerce team, providing clear direction, structure, and accountability.
  • Work closely with the Brand and Customer team to ensure alignment between onsite experience and retention activity (email, loyalty, lifecycle).
About you

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in an ecommerce leadership role.
  • Strong commercial mindset, with ownership of revenue and profitability targets.
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce metrics.
  • Experience managing an Amazon marketplace channel.
