Job Description:

Inbound Sales & Service Advisor – Remote, Start dates from August 2025

Key points

  • Major UK insurance company (trusted by millions)
  • Remote role, with all equipment provided
  • 37.5 hours per week, shift-based rota across 7 days (2 out of 5 weekends)
  • Average bonus: £400–£600/month (some teams higher, some lower – see below)
  • Great benefits, training and progression

Are you great with people, calm under pressure and ready to build a career in customer service and sales? If you’re looking for a fully remote role with proper training and progression – and where your personality and performance make a real impact – this could be a perfect fit.

The role in a nutshell

You’ll be joining one of five inbound customer service and sales teams, supporting customers with appliance insurance and repair queries. The calls are inbound – customers come to us – but you’ll still need to be confident in guiding conversations, spotting opportunities, and hitting targets.

Depending on the team, you might be:

  • Helping customers register a new appliance and offering extended protection
  • Assisting with repairs or account queries, and recommending extra cover
  • Retaining customers who are thinking of cancelling
  • Supporting Sky customers with their “Sky Protect” policies
  • Handling calls on behalf of brands like Beko

No matter the team, this is a busy, structured, compliance-led environment where empathy, communication and resilience are key.

You’ll have two weeks of initial training, with coaching and ongoing support from your Team Leader and colleagues. You\’ll be part of a large remote workforce, split into smaller supportive teams with daily huddles and regular 121s.

What experience do you need?

You don’t need to come from a regulated environment, but you do need to have:

  • Experience working directly with customers, ideally in a phone-based or sales role
  • Confidence working to targets or KPIs (call volume, conversion, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude

If you’ve worked in outbound sales, retail, hospitality, customer service or other contact centre roles, you’ll likely settle in quickly. We will be looking for applications with some element of sales experience in order to progress.

For the best chance of being shortlisted, make sure your CV has dates and that any gaps are explained.

The reward

  • Generous monthly bonus (averages vary across teams: £400–£600+, with some roles offering more and the ability to earn far in excess of this for top performers)
  • Remote working with full equipment provided
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays which are a usual working day)
  • Clear progression into senior roles or lateral moves into other areas
  • Health and wellbeing schemes, insurance policy benefits, enhanced pension and salary sacrifice schemes
  • A career path within financial services – with real opportunities to grow
  • You must be based in the UK with the right to work
  • You’ll need a quiet place to work from home and reliable broadband – all other kit is provided
  • You’ll be working shifts across a 7-day rota, with most teams working 2 out of every 5 weekends
  • Shifts are planned 4–6 weeks in advance and won’t go later than 8pm
  • You’ll need experience in customer service or sales, ideally with 12+ months in a targeted or phone-based role – though we’re open to different backgrounds if you’ve got the right attitude

Final point

Remote working isn’t for everyone. It takes a self-starter mindset, strong communication and the ability to bounce back when calls get tough. If you’re someone who thrives with structure, wants stability, and still gets a buzz from helping people (and getting rewarded for it), we’d love to hear from you.

Recruitment Process

The whole process can move quite quickly depending on how responsive you are. Each step builds on the last:

  • Online application (5 mins)
  • Video call with one of the Talent Tent team (15 mins)
  • Online assessment (30 mins)
  • Client interview (60 mins)

We\’ll need to see proof of your right to work in the UK as part of the process.
