We’re looking for an experienced Relationship Manager who can step straight into a senior‑facing role, build strategic partnerships, and help universities get the maximum value from their Jisc membership.
The impact you’ll have:
- You’ll be the single point of contact for a portfolio of HE members, shaping how they engage with Jisc’s full range of digital services, data insights, cybersecurity solutions and sector programmes.
- Your work directly supports the sustainability of the sector and ensures universities can continue to deliver world‑class teaching, research and student experience.
- You will combine strategic relationship management, sector advocacy and commercial growth, helping members solve real problems while identifying opportunities where Jisc’s products and services can support their priorities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and developing strategic relationships with senior leaders across your HE portfolio.
- Understanding each member’s priorities, pressures and digital ambitions – and helping them maximise the value of their Jisc membership.
- Identifying opportunities to increase service uptake and generate new business in line with Jisc’s growth targets.
- Bringing back sector intelligence and member voice to influence Jisc’s strategy, product development and service improvement.
- Ensuring member satisfaction, resolving issues and advocating for their needs internally.
- Working collaboratively across Jisc to deliver a seamless, joined‑up experience.
- Supporting devolved nation priorities where relevant, working closely with national directors.
What you’ll bring:
- A strong track record in relationship management with senior stakeholders.
- Proven success in sales, business development and account growth within a complex organisation.
- Experience achieving targets and KPIs.
- Ability to translate member needs into meaningful solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex issues clearly.
- Confidence working autonomously, managing a varied workload and travelling regularly to member sites.
- Digital literacy and the ability to quickly understand Jisc’s portfolio.
- Experience in Higher Education, Further Education or the wider public sector.
- Understanding of Jisc’s member landscape and sector challenges.
- Experience working across multiple sites or regions.
