We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting practices, and UK tax regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting business decisions with insightful financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely submission of VAT returns, tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
- Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic financial advice to management to support business growth.
- Assist in year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Handle company expenses, manage invoicing, and ensure prompt payments.
- Advise on tax planning and ensure compliance with HMRC guidelines.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred but not required).
