We are recruiting for a pivotal Supply Chain Analyst role based in Poole, working for a commercially minded, fast-moving consumer environment. This permanent, office based position sits at the heart of our client's operations, directly influencing both customer satisfaction and financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing product availability and stock levels for key customers while maintaining an efficient overall company stock holding. Success requires a strong commercial acumen, balancing customer needs, inventory performance, and distribution centre (DC) efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with key customers to maintain stock availability and directly support ongoing sales performance, specifically managing relationships with high-end/blue-chip clients.
- Forecasting & Planning: Conduct monthly forecasting for key product lines and strategically plan for promotional events to maximise sales while optimising stock levels.
- Replenishment Management: Liaise with Far East offices and suppliers to expedite stock, ensuring timely replenishment and managing delivery performance.
- Data Presentation: Utilise strong IT and Excel skills to manipulate data, creating clear and professional reports ready for customer review.
- Range Management: Manage the complex range change process, ensuring efficient exit of old stock and timely arrival of new products for launches.
- Communication: Consistently deliver outstanding customer service through strong, clear, and effective communication, building rapport quickly with both clients and the internal team.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a resilient and commercially aware professional with a minimum of two years' experience in a retail or B2B environment.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven Commercial Acumen: The person must be commercially aware and preferably have experience dealing with blue-chip companies.
- Advanced IT & Data Skills: Strong IT skills are essential. Must have proven experience in Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP is a must) and the ability to display data ready for customer review.
- Previous forecasting experience is essential.
- Resilience and Composure: A quick thinker who can stay calm and level-headed in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.
- Relationship Building: Highly personable with the ability to build strong rapport with high-end customers and the team in Poole.
- Proven supply chain experience in a fast-moving environment with a high SKU (stock-keeping unit) count.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
