Talent STEM is working with an innovative chemical company in the West Midlands to recruit a Research and Development Chemist to join their R&D team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or PhD in Chemistry to gain hands-on experience in organic synthesis within an industrial setting.
The role is a lab-based position focused on bench-scale organic synthesis to support the development of new chemical processes. Working closely with senior chemists and project teams, you will:
- Conduct hands-on organic synthesis at the bench scale to develop and refine chemical processes.
- Develop robust synthetic routes suitable for scale-up and large-scale production.
- Produce small-scale samples for customer evaluation.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental work and contribute to technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise and troubleshoot processes.
What you’ll need:
- A BSc or PhD in Chemistry, with a strong focus on organic synthesis.
- Passion for hands-on laboratory work and developing new chemical processes.
