Talent STEM are partnering with a global manufacturing organisation operating within the environmental technology and industrial manufacturing sector to recruit an EHS Advisor for their site in County Durham. This is a hands‑on, site‑based position focused on supporting environmental, health and safety activities across a busy manufacturing operation. The business is recognised internationally for its commitment to sustainability, operational excellence and environmental innovation. The role would suit somebody currently operating at EHS Advisor, HSE Advisor or Environmental Advisor level within manufacturing or process industry environments who is looking to step into a broader site‑level role with increased responsibility and long‑term development potential.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting site environmental, health and safety activities across manufacturing operations
- Assisting with environmental compliance, permitting and Environment Agency interactions
- Supporting ISO 14001 management systems and internal auditing activities
- Driving a positive health and safety culture across site operations
- Supporting incident investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with waste management compliance and contractor oversight
- Delivering EHS training and supporting operational teams on best practice
- Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments
Candidate profile
- Experience within a manufacturing, chemical, industrial or process environment
- Previous experience operating within an EHS, HSE, SHE or Environmental role
- Exposure to environmental compliance and Environment Agency interactions
- Experience supporting ISO 14001 systems
- Knowledge of waste management and environmental permitting
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification preferred
