Talent STEM are assisting a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical services organisation in seeking an experienced Responsible Person (RP) to support and maintain compliance across regulated distribution activities within the UK and EU. This is a key appointment within the quality and compliance function, offering broad responsibility across GDP governance, operational support, and regulatory oversight within a highly regulated medicines distribution environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements
  • Maintain and develop the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Oversee supplier and customer approval processes
  • Support product recalls, returns, and disposition decisions
  • Review and approve temperature excursion investigations
  • Conduct internal GDP audits and support external inspections
  • Provide compliance guidance to operational stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement across regulated distribution processes
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external customers where required

Candidate profile:

  • Experience operating within a GDP-regulated pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
  • Ideally currently acting as a Responsible Person, Deputy RP, or senior GDP Quality professional
  • Strong understanding of wholesale distribution requirements
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and senior leadership
  • Experience of audits, investigations, CAPA, and regulatory interaction
  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional background
