Overview
Mobile Engineer – Southampton – Monday to Friday – 07:30 to 17:00. Flexible hours available, including job shares/amended hours. We will consider all arrangements. Speedy is the UK’s leading hire provider with a wide range of tools, equipment, plant and support services for every job. We have a large fleet including generators, compressors, and engines, with telematics and monitoring in place where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair generator fleet and related equipment in line with company standards.
- Maintain and repair compressors (600 series, 260–1500 cfm) and Stage V engines as part of the fleet.
- Monitor and manage service hours on machines; work to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Work with telematics/monitoring panels (e.g., Comap, Deep Sea) as required.
- Record work performed and communicate effectively with team members to support ESG initiatives and business unit goals.
- Be flexible in hours and able to support hybrid or flexible working arrangements as needed.
Qualifications
- Full driving licence.
- Experience maintaining and repairing similar types of equipment.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to hours.
- Ability to support the business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy.
