Overview

Trainee Cable Jointing Instructor | Manchester (with occasional UK travel & overnight stays) | £50,000 + Excellent Benefits | Monday-Friday | 7:30am-4:00pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on training in cable jointing and electrical distribution
  • Support the design and development of industry-leading training programmes
  • Assess learners against national occupational standards and qualification frameworks
  • Provide coaching, feedback and support throughout the learner journey
  • Ensure all training meets current health & safety legislation and industry standards
  • Work closely with internal teams and external clients to meet training needs
  • Maintain training equipment and ensure a high-quality learning environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in electricity distribution/transmission cable jointing
  • City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • LV Jointing authorisation (current or previously held)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to work towards an assessor qualification (fully supported)

Desirable Experience (But Not Essential)

  • Experience with 11kV / HV jointing
  • Assessing or training experience
  • Teaching or assessor qualifications (e.g. A1, D32/33, PTLLS)
  • Health & safety certifications (IOSH, NEBOSH)
