Senior Mechanical Engineer, Leeds. Up to £50,000. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9-5 (with flexible working hours).

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join NPS Leeds on a permanent basis. The role involves design and management of mechanical services for construction projects across various building works.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage mechanical services, including producing budget estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration on mechanical-led projects.
- Promote the use of renewable technologies.
- Deliver mechanical projects in full in accordance with client briefs and professional standards.
- Champion and embed a multidisciplinary approach to project delivery.
- Schedule and coordinate resources, liaising with colleagues, commissioners and clients as required.
- Monitor project profitability, ensuring delivery within agreed professional fees and take corrective action where required.
- Carry out condition surveys, dilapidation or specific surveys to support stock condition/asset management or asset appraisal as needed.
- Promote and manage the delivery of mechanical services installations and energy management services to clients.
Requirements / Successful Candidate
- Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, or working towards Chartered status.
- Previous management/supervisory experience.
- Membership of the Engineering Council.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Current site card or be prepared to attain immediately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in project managing alteration and refurbishment projects from inception through to final account, including surveying.
- Working knowledge of standard forms of Building Services Contracts.
- Willingness to travel to sites (driving licence required).
