Overview

ROLE: HGV Technician (Bus & Coach).

Location: Runcorn, Cheshire.

Salary: £42,405.

Hours: Days only, 4 on 4 off, 38.5 hours per week. Start times 5am–5pm or 6am–6pm. This is a full-time permanent position.

HG Recruitment are recruiting an HGV Technician in partnership with our client based in Runcorn, Cheshire. This role involves examination, preparation and presentation of PCV vehicles, including a modern fleet, for MOT and DVSA inspections as well as monthly inspections to ensure DVSA compliance. For the right candidate, there are attractive pay rates including overtime.

Responsibilities / Role

  • General maintenance of vehicles.
  • Keeping full detailed documents to ensure proof of compliance.
  • Attending vehicle breakdowns.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ideally holds a relevant professional qualification (NVQ3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance), but consideration will be given to applicants who have the relevant skills and experience.
  • Excellent awareness of health and safety.
  • Experience in the industry and familiarity with DVSA and MOT requirements.
  • PCV or HGV licence would be desirable but not essential.
