We are looking for a forward‑thinking and results‑driven business growth leader to join Genesys. As Business Development Director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, you will play a strategic role within the Go‑To‑Market organisation, leading a high‑performing team of business development professionals across multiple countries to generate pipeline and accelerate revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive pipeline generation and new business opportunities to support ambitious growth and revenue targets across the region.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to design, execute and optimise integrated demand generation and account engagement campaigns.
  • Collaborate alongside sub‑regional Sales Vice Presidents to maximise pipeline creation and conversion, aligning with the Genesys Way of Selling and the account‑based engagement methodology.
  • Lead and develop a regional team of 35+ Business Development Representatives across key markets in EMEA, fostering collaboration within a multicultural and highly matrixed Go‑To‑Market organisation.
  • Recruit, coach and inspire a geographically distributed team, creating clear development pathways and long‑term career opportunities across Genesys.
  • Oversee the continued evolution of the BDR Academy Program.
  • Develop a strong understanding of lead and opportunity management processes, using data‑driven insights and analytics to identify trends, improve performance and influence strategic business decisions.
  • Bring experience and curiosity around modern Account‑Based strategies, including ABM, ABE and ABX, with a passion for building scalable best practices across the organisation.
  • Demonstrate strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to position AI‑powered cloud and customer experience solutions effectively.
  • Maintain deep working knowledge of Salesforce, Salesloft, Tableau and modern revenue technology ecosystems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise SaaS business development, pipeline generation and/or sales leadership, with a strong track record of exceeding growth targets.
  • Experience with Challenger Sales and MEDDPICC methodologies is essential for success in this role.
  • Proven leadership qualities and experience across multiple countries and cultures, with the ability to build high‑performing, inclusive and results‑oriented teams in complex international environments.
  • Proven experience leading large‑scale teams of 30+ employees, including second‑line leadership responsibilities managing both people managers and individual contributors.
  • Ability to work flexibly across time zones and collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across EMEA, North America, and APAC.
  • Experience managing external partners, vendors, and/or outsourced business development teams within a distributed operating model.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional European languages are considered a plus.
  • Experience in customer experience (CX), AI, cloud, sales, or marketing technology solutions is advantageous, though not mandatory.
