Production Manager – North Down Facility
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee multi‑line manufacturing at our North Down facility.
The role involves planning, scheduling, and managing a team of 60 employees while ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee day‑to‑day production and scheduling functions.
- Ensure H&S, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met.
- Utilise resources effectively to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Manage stock through an ERP system and report on KPIs.
- Develop KPIs in line with future state objectives.
- Streamline production using lean manufacturing principles.
- Communicate timely and accurately with other departments and stakeholders.
- Manage and develop a diverse team of 60 employees, including supervisors, team leaders, and operators.
Qualifications
- Strong experience managing a multi‑line shop floor.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives on a manufacturing floor.
- Manufacturing expertise under ISO 9001 (and similar).
- Proven ability to manage and report on production KPIs and recommend improvements.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, providing practical solutions to production issues.
- Ability to manage and develop a team with varying levels of experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: Third‑level qualification in Engineering, Production Management or similar beneficial but not essential.
- Six Sigma qualification is desirable.
- Solid knowledge of ERP systems.
