Production Manager – North Down Facility

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee multi‑line manufacturing at our North Down facility.

The role involves planning, scheduling, and managing a team of 60 employees while ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee day‑to‑day production and scheduling functions.
  • Ensure H&S, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met.
  • Utilise resources effectively to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Manage stock through an ERP system and report on KPIs.
  • Develop KPIs in line with future state objectives.
  • Streamline production using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Communicate timely and accurately with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Manage and develop a diverse team of 60 employees, including supervisors, team leaders, and operators.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience managing a multi‑line shop floor.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives on a manufacturing floor.
  • Manufacturing expertise under ISO 9001 (and similar).
  • Proven ability to manage and report on production KPIs and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, providing practical solutions to production issues.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team with varying levels of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education: Third‑level qualification in Engineering, Production Management or similar beneficial but not essential.
  • Six Sigma qualification is desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems.
