We’re looking for an organised and experienced Qualified Accountant to join the growing Jarion finance team to manage the Jarion portfolio of businesses as a Finance Manager.

The Company Jarion Ltd is an Investment Company who have facilitated the launch of numerous businesses and who are dedicated to supporting new and existing entrepreneurs with the funding and resources they need to bring their business ideas to life.

Salary: £38k-45k based on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm

Working Pattern: Hybrid/Flexible

About the role: As a qualified accountant at Jarion Ltd, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Director and will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the finance team. There are currently 7 members of the team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be a fantastic team player. The candidate will be able to liaise directly with key internal and external stakeholders. This role offers excellent future prospects, including opportunities for career progression and skill development within a growing and dynamic team.

  • Prepare complex Monthly Management Accounts for the portfolio and new businesses
  • Review Monthly Management Accounts for the portfolio and new businesses
  • Regularly review budget vs actual performance and report variances
  • Undertake the annual forecasting process with the Managing Directors in the group
  • Maintain weekly dashboards for the businesses to track the health of the businesses
  • Review bookkeeping and Xero management
  • Manage Payroll and CIS returns
  • Assist with the annual audit and statutory accounts
  • Assist with the annual consolidated accounts

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Robust financial and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in collaborating across functional teams
  • Adaptable with a solutions-focused approach
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel would be preferred, but training can be provided. Xero and Iris knowledge is also advantageous.
