About the role

You’ll become a trusted adviser to SME employers, supporting them with a wide range of people management and employment law issues.

You will

  • Advise employers on day-to-day employment law and HR matters
  • Support disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management cases
  • Assist with investigations and hearings
  • Draft letters, reports, contracts and employment documentation
  • Build strong relationships with business owners and managers
  • Help employers assess risk and make informed decisions
  • Develop your employment law and employee relations expertise

Your current job title doesn’t matter to us.

We’re looking for someone who is naturally drawn to solving people problems.

You might already work in HR, but equally you may have built your career in operations, management or another leadership role where you’ve become the person colleagues turn to when there’s a difficult conversation to have, a conflict to resolve or a people issue that needs sorting out.

You’re curious about employment law and how workplaces work.

Perhaps you’ve taught yourself a great deal because you genuinely enjoy it.

You don’t need to know every answer, but you’ll enjoy researching, learning and applying good judgement to real-life situations.

Previous consultancy experience isn’t necessary. We’re far more interested in your judgement, curiosity and ability to build relationships than the job title you’ve held.

Candidates must have permanent Right to Work in the UK status, residing within a commutable distance.
