This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop a Major Giving program targeting large individual and trust donations. The Major Donor Manager will identify, cultivate, solicit, and maintain relationships with major donors, ensuring high engagement, satisfaction, and account management. Additionally, the role oversees daily program operations to sustain its success.

Play a key role in shaping and growing the major giving programme. My client is seeking a dynamic relationship-builder to secure high-value gifts and deliver meaningful income through individual and trust-based philanthropy.

Person Specification

They are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven success in securing 5-figure gifts from major donors.
  • Brings experience in developing donor pipelines and meeting fundraising targets.
  • Possesses outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Is numerate, data-literate, and confident in reporting on financial and strategic outcomes.
  • Demonstrates alignment with our values, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex donor portfolios.
Role Responsibilities
  • Design and lead a major giving programme to generate new income.
  • Identify and cultivate high-value prospects in collaboration with the Prospect Research Officer.
  • Personally manage a portfolio of major donors and trusts with tailored stewardship.
  • Develop a compliance framework for high-value giving, ensuring legal and ethical standards.
  • Produce and manage budgets, KPI reports, and performance analysis.
  • Deliver a high standard of donor engagement and customer service across the programme.
  • Support organisational compliance in safeguarding, data protection, EDI, and quality.
