The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of a new student residence with over 600 bed spaces. This role includes managing front-of-house reception services, leading a team, and working closely with a third-party facilities provider to ensure a high standard of service and a positive student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the reception team to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee staff performance, training, rotas, and development.
  • Ensure hall operations meet financial, service, and regulatory targets.
  • Act as a key user for software systems including property management, parcel tracking, finance, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the facilities provider to ensure quality housekeeping, maintenance, and security services.
  • Coordinate emergency responses and assist with operational issues.
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts and support refurbishment projects.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with data protection and financial policies.
  • Handle complaints and feedback, and ensure high levels of student satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a team in a customer-facing environment.
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service in the hospitality sector.
  • Knowledge of accommodation within the Higher Education sector or Hospitality.
  • Prior experience using a Property Management System.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel) and collaborative tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Zoom).

Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. Fully onsite.
