Person specification
- A detail-oriented and experienced finance professional who is:
- Proficient in Xero (and/or Sage) with solid experience in a finance department
- Highly organised, numerate and confident managing multiple finance tasks
- Skilled in all aspects of accounting and cash flow management
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A strong communicator who handles data with discretion and care
- Holds a valid DBS or is willing to undergo a check
- Has access to a vehicle due to our rural Tonbridge location
- Ideally hold or be working towards an Accountancy/finance qualification
- Right to work in the UK without the requirement for sponsorship
What you’ll be doing:
- Support management accounts, reporting and analysis to guide financial decisions
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and assist with year-end processes and journals
- Oversee purchase and sales ledger tasks, including payments, invoices and credit control
- Lead daily bank reconciliations, petty cash, and monthly income reporting
- Help transition our systems from Sage to Xero, improving efficiency
- Provide support across the finance function with queries, admin and compliance

- Salary of £28,000-£35,000 FTE (30 hours/week - negotiable)
