Mass Participation Events Officer
Part-time (21 hours per week) | £24,000–£28,355 FTE (£14,400–£17,600 pro rata)
Based in Guildford with hybrid working options
Looking to speak with someone enthusiastic and organised to join a fundraising team and help make the challenge events a big success. From the London Marathon and cycling events to skydives and treks, you’ll be helping amazing supporters take on incredible challenges to raise money for disabled children and young people.
You’ll be the go-to person for these events – recruiting people to take part, keeping in touch with them along the way, and making sure they feel supported, motivated and appreciated. You’ll also help plan some of the in house smaller events and work closely with the wider team to help reach our fundraising goals.

You don’t need to have done this exact job before, but I would love to hear from you if you:
- Have some experience working in fundraising, events or supporter care
- Are confident speaking to all sorts of people
- Are organised, good with detail, and can juggle a few things at once
- Know your way around Canva and email platforms (or are willing to learn)
- Can work the occasional evening or weekend (you\’ll get you time off in return)
What you’ll be doing
- Helping people sign up for challenge events and supporting them through their fundraising journey
- Making sure they get everything they need, from welcome emails to event day cheer
- Creating fun, inspiring content to promote events and recruit new fundraisers
- Helping run smaller events to thank or celebrate our amazing participants
- Working with the wider fundraising team to make our events even better
