We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Events Associate.
Role context: This role is part of the UK HSBC Innovation Banking Events Team. As an Associate, you will support the team that are responsible for developing and managing our events programme: a core component of our marketing activities and a critical interface with the Innovation economy.
Role Responsibilities:
- Development, management, production and delivery of events and sponsorships within your designated portfolio
- Deliver and manage events on time, within budget, and ensuring all events meet key objectives and KPI’s
- Deliver extensive ROI / wrap up reports post each event to track, report and measure against key metrics to evaluate and identify opportunities for future improvement
- Provide expert knowledge, direction (influence) and support to portfolio
- Develop, lead and manage all aspects of sponsorships within portfolio
- Attend specific industry events for networking and personal brand development regularly
- Build and manage relationships with senior members across all teams
- Integrate existing business outputs, such as thought leadership into the overall events & sponsorship programme
- Marketing process improvements by implementing methods and procedures to increase efficiency and scale
- Ensure adherence to the bank’s Policies, Governance and budgetary guidelines at all time
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Excellent execution and delivery skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Previous experience (3-5 years) of events management in a similar size organisation
- Previous experience using Monday.com / Eloqua / Stova
- Previous banking experience in a similar role
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple deliverables at the same time
- Excellent event and project management skills
- Results oriented with an ability to track and report outcomes
- Proven ability to work within a complex matrix organisation
- Positive can-do attitude with ability to solve problems
- Ability to work autonomously with limited direction
- Understanding of the innovation ecosystem and key players within it
- Ability to think beyond initial set of facts or issues and probe for less obvious solutions
- Desire to work within the banking industry and passion for innovation and the innovation economy
- Sound risk management and understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks including Consumer Duty
- Ability to multi-task and shift gears quickly; sense of urgency
- Strong collaborator; flexible/adaptable; always willing to pitch in with teammates to get the job done
- Proficient skills on Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
