A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Site Hygiene Manager to take full responsibility for hygiene operations across a high-care production site. This is a key leadership role with accountability for delivering exceptional hygiene standards across all shifts in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
The Role
- Lead and manage site-wide hygiene operations across day and night shifts
- Oversee and develop a large hygiene team, driving a high-performance culture
- Ensure full compliance with retailer and regulatory hygiene and food safety standards
- Take ownership of hygiene systems, driving continuous improvement and sustainable standards
- Play a key role in audits, inspections, and customer interactions
- Lead from the front with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Support site performance through improvement and turnaround initiatives
About You
- Proven experience in a hygiene leadership role within high-care food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of working to major UK retailer standards
- Experience managing large teams across multiple shifts
- Flexible approach to working patterns (days, nights, and occasional weekends)
- Able to demonstrate delivery of measurable improvements or change projects
- A strong team player with a practical, hands-on leadership style
Qualifications
- HACCP Level 3 (minimum)
- Food Safety and Lysteria Level 4
- Advanced hygiene or Listeria control experience (desirable)
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification
- Microbiology knowledge (advantageous)
