Lead and hold people accountable to meet all safety , quality and productivity requirements. Drive and monitor the delivery in the performance of operations against PPG standards and target to achieve optimised production performance goals.

What we are looking for:

  • A successful background within Team Leadership ideally in a manufacturing environment, leading a team of people.
  • Good knowledge and has experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ideally with six sigma Green Belt qualified. Working to Black belt.
  • Analytical, critical thinker capable of collecting clear/concise data from multiple sources to utilise in making improvements in output performance.
  • Can writes WIs, SOPs, OPLs. RA and Permit trained
  • Good planning / organisational skills.
  • Good written communication
  • Can Identify and resolve problems in employee, production, and equipment areas.
  • Experience working across multiple project with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of managing EHS in a manufacturing environment.
  • Be a confident, effective communicator, and be able to demonstrate a track record in leading teams to drive up standards and improve efficiency in all areas.
  • Computer literate, able to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook/Email.
  • Has understanding on maintenance excellence principles.
  • Experience in a role as a change agent.
  • Has a track record of delegating, empowering, influencing and motivating people to achieve goals and progress talent in your team.
  • Holds themselves accountable and can demonstrate this value.
  • Receptive to changes based on business requirements, agile, and willing.
  • Takes an Internally Supportive approach to other departmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety first – Responsible for the safety of their people, driving accountability in teams for safety training and for the enforcement of Safety programs and policies across the function responsible for. Adherence and promotion of all PPG Life Critical Rules.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits on site with your team.
  • Support and conduct risk assessments for your department on an annual basis and conduct spot checks to ensure compliance.
  • Drive a EHS culture throughout the business through continuous improvement of EHS processes, procedures and working practices. Ensuring that all required site, processes and people assessments are completed and adhered too.
  • Follow all established GMP, HACCP guidelines, Housekeeping responsibilities and QRMP operating procedures.
  • EHS Management accountability by ensuring that you working closely with teams, the EHS Manager and Engineering teams to ensure all Department EHS responsibilities are covered, which will include MOCs, Permits to work and HAZID, GS2 Actions and EHS Corp actions closed in the agreed ETA.
