Raw Materials Technologist

Location: Dronfield

Shifts: Monday-Friday 8.30-17.00

About Us:

We are seeking an experienced Raw Materials Technologist to support a technical team in a senior-level hybrid role. This position combines hands-on technical work with opportunities to influence raw material management across the supply chain. This is a great opportunity for someone with food manufacturing experience, looking to step into a more strategic and leadership-influenced role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of raw materials, including approval, risk assessments, compliance, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with food safety, legal, and quality standards.
  • Perform risk assessments (HACCP, TACCP, VACCP) and proactively mitigate threats in the supply chain.
  • Maintain raw material specifications, compliance records, and audit outcomes using internal systems.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Technical, and Quality teams to provide technical guidance and drive improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement by sharing best practices across sites

Key Skills / Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years\’ experience in a Raw Materials or Technical role within food manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of raw material compliance, traceability, and supplier risk.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and approvals.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
  • Ideally holds a Food Science or related degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work across teams and with suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
