Job Title: Maintenance Planner Location: Uttoxeter Shifts: Monday-Friday Day Shifts (phone number removed) Monday-Thursday / 8.00-16.00 Friday) Competitive Salary + Excellent Company Benefits + Progression Opportunities About the Role: We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Planner to lead and coordinate maintenance planning across the factory. This role is key in delivering realistic and prioritised maintenance schedules while supporting world-class maintenance strategies. You will act as a subject matter expert for maintenance methodologies and work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the factory towards world-class maintenance by coordinating and prioritising maintenance activities. Develop clear, repeatable maintenance routines and strategies to improve efficiency and asset reliability. Flexibly manage daily maintenance plans and respond to emerging maintenance opportunities. Use data analysis to determine maintenance priorities and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies. Provide hands-on support to maintain and repair production machinery, systems, and ancillary equipment when required. Ensure all maintenance work is recorded accurately in the CMMS system and complies with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations. Manage contractors and coordinate activities to ensure compliance with company policies. Support the development and succession planning of Factory Support Technicians. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function. Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or above). HNC/HND or higher (desirable). IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent. Experience in maintenance planning or project planning within a manufacturing environment. Understanding of food manufacturing or FMCG environments is advantageous. Strong leadership and coaching capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive change. High-level understanding of maintenance methodologies.
