Working within a fast-paced shared services environment, you will play a key role in supporting the cash application process, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing unallocated cash balances and contributing to period-end financial reporting activities. You will work closely with finance colleagues across multiple locations, helping to ensure the smooth flow of cash across the business and the delivery of high-quality financial services. You will receive full training and support, making this an excellent opportunity to build your finance career. Whether you are just starting out or looking to develop your existing experience, you will gain valuable exposure to finance processes, SAP and a range of skills that will support your future development.

What you will be doing

  • Processing daily cash receipts and customer payments, ensuring transactions are posted accurately and within agreed timelines
  • Downloading and processing bank statements through cash application systems, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues promptly
  • Managing customer payment portals and ensuring invoices, sundry documents and intercompany transactions are processed accurately and on time
  • Preparing and maintaining unallocated cash reports, supporting stakeholder meetings and driving the resolution of outstanding balances
  • Supporting period-end financial closing activities and ensuring all reporting responsibilities are completed to deadline
  • Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple locations, providing support and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, escalating process or system issues where required and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What we are looking for

We are keen to hear from motivated and detail-focused individuals who enjoy problem-solving, working with data and delivering high levels of accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.

Essential
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable or transactional finance role
  • Basic understanding of finance processes and financial administration
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience working within a shared services or manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to cash application, payment processing or invoice-to-cash activities

What you will gain

  • The opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative Finance Shared Service Centre team
  • Comprehensive training and development to build your finance and systems knowledge
  • Exposure to SAP and a broad range of finance processes within a global organisation
  • The chance to work with colleagues across multiple locations, including international teams
  • A role that offers genuine opportunities for learning, progression and long-term career development
  • Experience within a finance function that has a strong track record of developing and promoting talent internally

If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and an interest in developing a career in finance, we would be keen to hear from you.
