Join a collaborative aerospace quality team where your expertise really counts. We're recruiting a FAIR Quality Inspector to join a well-established Quality Engineering team in Fareham, supporting both supplier and in-house First Article Inspections for high-precision aerospace components. This is a specialist role focused heavily on FAIR documentation, customer requirements, and compliance, rather than shop-floor inspection.
The Role
You will take ownership of supplier and internal FAIRs, working closely with Quality Engineers, Production and Supply Chain to ensure customer and regulatory standards are met. This is a key role within the team and offers strong long-term development into Quality Engineering and auditing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, review and manage FAIRs to AS9102
- Support customer and regulatory requirements (DBI / DVI / PPAP)
- Manage supplier FAIRs at component level
- Support in-house Delta FAIRs
- Investigate discrepancies and drive corrective actions
- Review engineering drawings and basic dimensions
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and reports
- Work collaboratively across the Quality Engineering function
Skills Required
Essential:
- Aerospace or automotive experience
- Previous experience in a FAIR-focused role
- Hands-on experience creating and reviewing FAIRs
- Understanding of customer quality requirements
- Comfortable with basic dimensions and engineering drawings
- Experience using inspection tools and hand tools
- Basic Microsoft Excel and Office skills
