Are you a skilled CNC Operator looking to step up into more responsibility? Or an experienced Setter looking for a stable, high-precision production environment? We're recruiting for a CNC Operator / Setter to join the machine shop team at Parker Hannifin's Crewkerne site, a global engineering business manufacturing high-precision components for the off-road sector, supporting leading OEMs including JCB and Caterpillar.

The Role
You'll be working within a machine shop team focused on CNC turning operations. The site operates a range of CNC automatic lathes, particularly sliding head machines.
Depending on your experience level, you'll be:
- Operating CNC sliding or fixed head machines
- Setting machines (if experienced or keen to develop)
- Working to tight tolerances on high-precision components
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Using micrometres and precision measuring equipment
- Supporting high-volume production output
- Working with tooling and fixtures
This is a production-focused environment where quality and consistency matters every time.
Machinery & Controls
You may have experience with:
- Citizen sliding head machines
- Star sliding head machines
- Tsugami machines
- CNC fixed head lathes
Controls include:
- Fanuc
- Siemens
- Mitsubishi
Fanuc experience is particularly desirable, but other systems will be considered if you can demonstrate CNC competence.
What We're Looking For
