We are looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Administrator (Packaging) to join our Technical team and play a key role in supporting packaging development, compliance, innovation, and operational excellence across the business. Working within a close‑knit technical team, you will take ownership of packaging specifications, artwork approvals, sustainability projects, and packaging improvements across a diverse product portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Lead packaging projects across NPD, EPD, sustainability, value engineering, and operational improvements.
- Manage packaging specifications, artwork approvals, and compliance for a wide range of packaging materials.
- Work with production, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to resolve packaging issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate packaging trials, maintain compliance records, and ensure adherence to legal, retailer, customer, and BRC standards.
- Support sustainability and optimisation initiatives, including EPR submissions, PFAS tracking, and packaging data management.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Technical role within FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Strong organisational, problem‑solving, and project management skills in fast‑paced environments.
- Experience managing packaging specifications, artwork approvals, and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to work independently.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience within packaging is desirable.
- Experience within private‑label manufacturing.
- Knowledge of BRC standards and retailer codes of practice.
- Experience using Adobe Illustrator for cutter guide management and artwork review.
- Understanding of sustainability initiatives, EPR requirements, and packaging legislation.
