Hours: 12-hour days, 3 on / 3 off | 7:00am – 7:00pm

About You

You’re a technically capable leader who thrives on both machinery and people management. You’re passionate about operational excellence and enjoy coaching teams in a busy bakery or food manufacturing environment. You take pride in keeping production lines running efficiently, developing high-performing teams, and embedding best practices across shifts.

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally within bakery, biscuits, or similar environments.
  • A confident, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong commitment to food safety and quality, ideally with HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, and IOSH qualifications (or willing to train).
  • Organized, proactive, and approachable, with great communication skills.

About the Role

As Day Area Manager, you’ll lead critical production lines, ensuring machinery reliability while developing and supporting a team of 25+. You’ll coordinate across departments and manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading daily operations on creams and bakery production lines
  • Managing machinery breakdowns and repairs (creamers, ZDIs, etc.)
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 25+ colleagues
  • Engaging with Hygiene, NPD, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Driving continuous improvement and embedding operational best practices
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP, IOSH, and food safety standards
  • Managing contractors and supporting operational audits
