About You
You’re a technically capable leader who thrives on both machinery and people management. You’re passionate about operational excellence and enjoy coaching teams in a busy bakery or food manufacturing environment. You take pride in keeping production lines running efficiently, developing high-performing teams, and embedding best practices across shifts.
What we are looking for:
- Experienced in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally within bakery, biscuits, or similar environments.
- A confident, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong commitment to food safety and quality, ideally with HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, and IOSH qualifications (or willing to train).
- Organized, proactive, and approachable, with great communication skills.
About the Role
As Day Area Manager, you’ll lead critical production lines, ensuring machinery reliability while developing and supporting a team of 25+. You’ll coordinate across departments and manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading daily operations on creams and bakery production lines
- Managing machinery breakdowns and repairs (creamers, ZDIs, etc.)
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 25+ colleagues
- Engaging with Hygiene, NPD, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Driving continuous improvement and embedding operational best practices
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP, IOSH, and food safety standards
- Managing contractors and supporting operational audits
