M&E Engineer

Location: Oxford
Salary: £44,000
Benefits: Company Van + Fuel Card
Hours: Monday to Friday

The Role

We are looking for an experienced M&E Engineer to join a well-established engineering team covering commercial sites in and around Oxford.

This is a mobile position offering a £44,000 salary, company van and fuel card, with a Monday-to-Friday working pattern. You'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and electrical building services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Fault-find and repair mechanical and electrical building services
  • Maintain HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, pumps and associated plant
  • Carry out electrical maintenance including lighting, power and basic fault finding
  • Complete routine plant room inspections
  • Respond to breakdowns and ensure faults are resolved efficiently
  • Complete maintenance records and update CAFM systems
  • Liaise professionally with clients and contractors
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

About You

  • Qualified in either an electrical or mechanical discipline (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
  • Strong M&E/building services maintenance background
  • Experience working within commercial properties
  • Good knowledge of xgikmsk HVAC, mechanical plant and electrical systems
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Professional and client-facing approach
  • Full UK driving licence
