Mechanical / Electrical Shift Engineer – £55,000 Package Location: King's Cross, London Salary: £50,000 + £5,000 Shift Allowance Environment: Prestigious Commercial / Technology Building The Opportunity We’re looking for a Mechanical or Electrical Shift Engineer to join an established engineering team at a prestigious, high-profile commercial building in King's Cross, London. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their technical skills within a modern, well-maintained environment. You don't need to already hold HVAP authorisation! We're open to candidates who have previous HVAP experience or engineers who are keen to undertake HVAP training. Above all, we're looking for someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance * Maintain and fault-find on mechanical and electrical building services * Work across HVAC systems, electrical distribution, pumps, motors, AHUs and associated plant * Respond to breakdowns, BMS alarms and technical issues * Conduct routine plant room inspections * Support the operation and maintenance of critical building infrastructure * Liaise with specialist contractors and the wider engineering team * Complete maintenance records and CAFM tasks * Ensure all works are completed safely and professionally What We're Looking For * Electrically or mechanically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent * Experience within commercial building maintenance * Good understanding of M&E building services * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * HVAP experience advantageous but not essential – training can be provided * Professional and confident in a client-facing environment * A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to develop * Reliable team player who takes pride in their work What's on Offer? * £50,000 basic salary * £5,000 shift allowance * £55,000 total annual package * Permanent, static-site position in King's Cross * Prestigious commercial / technology environment * Opportunity to undertake HVAP training * Supportive and experienced engineering team * Excellent training and long-term career progression If you're a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with a good attitude and looking for an opportunity to develop your career and gain additional technical qualifications, we'd be keen to hear from you
