We’re looking for a mobile mechanical and electrical engineer to join a specialist sub contractor in the building services industry. You’ll spend most of your time on technically challenging jobs across commercial buildings and critical sites, dealing with equipment such as:
- Pumps and pressurisation units – replacing seals, motors, impellers, and sorting out control issues.
- Chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled) – carrying out fault finding, repairs, and performance adjustments.
- Air handling units and ventilation systems – fixing motors, dampers, valves, and general breakdowns.
- Boilers and heating plant – dealing with problems that go beyond routine servicing.
- BMS and controls – identifying issues, resetting systems, and working alongside controls contractors.
This is a mobile role, so you’ll cover a range of sites, often at short notice. You’ll need to be comfortable working on your own, making decisions quickly, and explaining clearly to site teams and clients what needs to be done.
Requirements:
- A solid background across mechanical and electrical building services.
- Confidence working with pumps, chillers, AHUs, and plantroom equipment.
- Strong fault-finding ability – someone who enjoys problem solving.
- A full UK driving licence.
