The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to join an established engineering team at a prestigious commercial building in Blackfriars.
This is a days-only shift position, offering an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified engineer looking to work within a high-profile commercial environment without night shifts.
Shift Pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
Maintain and fault-find on mechanical plant and building services
Work across HVAC, hot and cold-water systems and associated mechanical equipment
Respond to breakdowns and plant faults
Carry out routine plant room inspections
Monitor building systems and respond to alarms
Complete maintenance records and update the CAFM system
Supervise specialist subcontractors when required
Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures
Support the wider engineering team in maintaining a high standard of service
What We're Looking For Mechanically qualified β City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Plumbing or equivalent
Strong commercial building maintenance experience
Good knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous
Professional and confident working within a client-facing environment
Comfortable working within a busy commercial building
