We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Service Engineer to join a maintenance team supporting a large educational environment. Working across a multi-building site, you will deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs while helping ensure all facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a core trade background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical maintenance who is comfortable working across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across building services systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Support maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems
- Update maintenance tasks and records using CAFM systems
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and contractors on-site
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
- Provide a professional service to staff, visitors, and stakeholders
- Participate in the on-call rota and support minor project works when required
About You
- Experience working within commercial building maintenance or similar environments
- Core trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC
- Good all-round building services maintenance knowledge
- Experience using CAFM/BMS systems (desirable)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
