The Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a maintenance team supporting a large educational environment.
Working across a multi-building site, you will deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs while helping ensure all facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a core trade background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical maintenance who is comfortable working across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across building services systems
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
Support maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems
Update maintenance tasks and records using CAFM systems
Work collaboratively with other engineers and contractors on-site
Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
Provide a professional service to staff, visitors, and stakeholders
Participate in the on-call rota and support minor project works when required
About You
Experience working within commercial building maintenance or similar environments
Core trade qualification in electrical, xgikmsk mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC
Good all-round building services maintenance knowledge
Experience using CAFM/BMS systems (desirable)
Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to work
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
