Due to continued growth, they’re looking to recruit an experienced Fire Door Engineer to join their team at a flagship commercial site in Central London.

The Role

As a Fire Door Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of one of London’s premier commercial buildings. You’ll be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining and installing fire doors in line with current legislation and industry standards, helping to protect both the building and its occupants. Working alongside an experienced engineering team, you’ll deliver high-quality workmanship while ensuring all passive fire protection systems remain fully compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire door inspections, repairs and maintenance.
  • Install new fire doors and associated ironmongery where required.
  • Complete remedial works in accordance with current fire safety legislation.
  • Ensure all fire doors meet relevant British Standards and compliance requirements.
  • Accurately complete inspection reports and maintenance records.
  • Liaise with site management and engineering teams to coordinate works.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and workmanship.

About You

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Fire Door Engineer or within passive fire protection.
  • Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, inspections and compliance standards.
  • Experience carrying out fire door maintenance, repairs and installations.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
