We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to work within a high-profile banking environment on a fixed-term contract. This is a shift-based role focused on maintaining critical electrical systems and ensuring continuous, safe operation.
The Role
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Monitor and maintain LV electrical infrastructure, switchgear, and distribution boards.
- Respond to electrical faults, alarms, and emergency situations.
- Support the operation of critical systems including UPS, generators, and power distribution.
- Complete shift handovers, logbooks, and maintenance reports.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Escort and oversee specialist contractors when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in a critical or commercial environment (banking, data centre, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems.
- Experience working with UPS and generators (desirable).
- Recognised Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
- Ability to start immediately.
