We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to work within a high-profile banking environment on a fixed-term contract. This is a shift-based role focused on maintaining critical electrical systems and ensuring continuous, safe operation.

The Role

  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Monitor and maintain LV electrical infrastructure, switchgear, and distribution boards.
  • Respond to electrical faults, alarms, and emergency situations.
  • Support the operation of critical systems including UPS, generators, and power distribution.
  • Complete shift handovers, logbooks, and maintenance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
  • Escort and oversee specialist contractors when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in a critical or commercial environment (banking, data centre, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems.
  • Experience working with UPS and generators (desirable).
  • Recognised Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
  • Ability to start immediately.
