A facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites throughout London. The role requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, compliance standards, and fault diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on air conditioning systems including split systems, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and heat pumps.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults.
- Service compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, control systems, and associated pipework.
- Conduct refrigerant handling, leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, and re-gassing in line with F-Gas regulations.
- Complete statutory compliance checks and ensure all work meets health & safety and environmental standards.
- Produce detailed service reports, certification, and asset condition updates.
- Liaise with clients and site representatives to provide technical advice and updates.
- Support minor installation, replacement, and upgrade works where required.
Skills & Qualifications
- F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
- Recognised HVAC or refrigeration qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Proven experience maintaining and fault-finding AC and heat pump systems in commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical controls, BMS interfaces, and HVAC control strategies.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites and manage workload effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
