A great opportunity has arisen for a Gate Engineer to join a growing facilities and engineering team. This role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of automatic gate and barrier systems within a busy utilities environment, along with supporting general mechanical and electrical building services maintenance.
The Role
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on automatic gates, sliding gates, security barriers, rapid roller shutters, and associated M&E systems.
- Respond to callouts, urgent repairs, and planned works as required.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime and ensure operational continuity.
- Install mechanical and electrical equipment as part of upgrade or replacement works.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance logs.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and client contacts to deliver a high-quality service.
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
What You’ll Need
- Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background.
- Experience working with automatic gate and barrier systems.
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical equipment.
