An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Gas Safe Plumber to join the on-site maintenance team at a prestigious and secure site in Newmarket. Working as part of a professional facilities management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing and gas maintenance services across the estate.
This role involves a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and minor installation works, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plumbing and gas systems
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing faults
- Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on gas appliances and heating systems
- Carry out general plumbing works including pipework, taps, toilets, valves and water systems
- Ensure all gas works are completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and safety standards
- Support wider maintenance tasks across the site where required
- Liaise with contractors and other engineers on site
- Maintain accurate records of works carried out and ensure compliance documentation is completed
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
- Gas Safe registered
- Proven experience working as a Gas Engineer / Plumber within facilities management, building services or commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and gas appliances
- Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
- Ability to fault-find and resolve issues efficiently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant plumbing or gas qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- £40,000 basic salary
