Multi-Skilled Technician – Mechanical Bias
Location: Brighton / Burgess Hill Salary: £43,700 Hours: Monday to Friday – Early, Day & Late Shifts Call Out: 1 in 6 Position: Permanent The Role
We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Technician with a mechanical bias to join the engineering team supporting a large, modern commercial environment in Brighton, with occasional travel to a site in Burgess Hill. This is ideal for a mechanically qualified engineer with strong HVAC and building services experience, who also has a basic understanding of electrical systems. Key Responsibilities
Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance
Maintain and fault-find on AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, pumps and motors
Work on heating, hot water, chillers and cooling systems
Carry out general mechanical repairs and maintenance
Monitor plant performance and BMS systems
Respond to breakdowns and building maintenance issues
Complete maintenance records through the CAFM system
Support specialist contractors when required
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent
Strong commercial building maintenance experience
Good HVAC and mechanical fault-finding skills
Knowledge of pumps, motors, heating and cooling systems
Basic electrical knowledge
BMS experience would be advantageous
Full UK driving licence
Professional and proactive approach
