An established and growing renewable energy and electrical services provider is seeking a skilled Mobile Electrician to join its team. This role focuses on the installation, wiring, testing and commissioning of solar PV systems, alongside general domestic and commercial electrical works.
The position primarily covers South East London and North Kent, with occasional travel required to support projects in surrounding areas.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations with a strong emphasis on solar PV systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in full compliance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, test and commission solar PV systems, including inverters and batteries
- Carry out AC and DC electrical installations in domestic and commercial properties
- Complete general electrical works such as lighting upgrades, EV charger installations and new build wiring
- Fault-find, test and commission electrical systems
- Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Undertake inspections, maintenance and corrective repairs
- Ensure compliance with BS7671, health & safety and quality standards
- Communicate professionally with clients, site teams and management
- Complete accurate job reports and documentation
Requirements
- Level 3 Electrical Installation (NVQ or equivalent)
- JIB Gold Card (preferred)
- Solar PV installation experience or certification (preferred)
- 2391 Test & Inspection (preferred but not essential)
- 5 years experience as a qualified electrician
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems and electrical testing
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively
- Clean UK driving licence
- Ability to pass a DBS check
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height and outdoors
Location Requirement
Candidates should be based in South East London or North Kent, as the majority of work will be within this area, with occasional travel further afield.
