A permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work on a prestigious static site in Central London. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery.

This position is well suited to an engineer with strong building services experience, ideally with exposure to heritage, museum, gallery, university or specialist environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and reactive work requests
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs or arrange equipment replacement
  • Complete regular scheduled checks, inspections and testing
  • Manage both planned and unplanned electrical work and record all findings
  • Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Support site PPMs including electrical, mechanical and water treatment tasks
  • Supervise subcontractors working on site
  • Ensure all work meets client standards and site health & safety requirements
  • Experience with BMS and environmental control systems (humidity, temperature) is beneficial
Skills & Qualifications
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience in a Facilities Management or building services environment
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and remain proactive
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
