Location: Stratford, East London Salary: Up to £55,000 Hours: Monday to Friday Position: Permanent, Static Site The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team at a large, prestigious commercial building in Stratford. Working as part of an established team of four engineers, you'll be responsible for maintaining the electrical infrastructure and building services across a technically demanding commercial environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a Monday-to-Friday role paying up to £55,000, with the chance to develop further within HV operations. We're happy to consider engineers who are currently HV Authorised Persons, have previously held HV AP status and allowed it to lapse, or have the right electrical background and are keen to be put through their HV AP course. Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Maintain electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, power and emergency lighting Carry out electrical fault finding and repairs Monitor and maintain electrical plant and infrastructure Support HV operations and switching activities where appropriately authorised Respond to breakdowns and technical issues Carry out routine plant room and electrical infrastructure inspections Work alongside the wider engineering team to ensure the building operates safely and efficiently Coordinate and oversee specialist subcontractors where required Complete maintenance records and update CAFM systems Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and site procedures Maintain a professional approach when dealing with clients and building occupiers What We're Looking For
You will need to be a fully qualified Electrical Engineer with a strong background in commercial building maintenance. Essential: Fully electrically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent 18th Edition Commercial building maintenance experience Strong electrical fault-finding skills Good understanding of electrical distribution and building services Professional, reliable and comfortable working within a team Good communication and client-facing skills In addition, we're looking for someone who is either: Currently HV Authorised Person qualified Previously HV AP qualified but currently lapsed Or an experienced electrical engineer who is keen and suitable to undertake HV AP training What's on Offer?
