About the role

We are seeking a Trainee Paraplanner to support experienced Paraplanners and Financial Advisers in delivering outstanding client service. This entry-level role is ideal for someone starting a career in financial planning, with structured training and mentoring provided to help you develop technical knowledge and progress towards a full paraplanning role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering client information and documentation
  • Learn how to conduct basic research into financial products and solutions
  • Support with drafting suitability reports under supervision
  • Help maintain client records in our back-office system
  • Shadow advisers and paraplanners during client meetings and casework
  • Support the preparation of financial planning documents and annual reviews
  • Stay informed about changes in financial products, regulations, and legislation
  • Work towards relevant professional qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Minimum of A-Levels (or equivalent); degree preferred but not required

Desirable:

  • Studying towards or interested in starting a Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a financial services or administrative role is a plus
