We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Management Leader to design and establish a new global shared service for a major financial services organisation. This role is critical to shaping how the firm manages technology, cyber, and data-related regulatory engagement across global markets. Candidates must have prior experience within a large, complex financial institution (e.g. JP Morgan, Bank of America, Citi, Goldman Sachs or similar) and a strong background in regulatory engagement, risk, and control. The contract is inside IR35 and the business follows a hybrid pattern; however this role is largely remote-based with occasional travel to the London or Sheffield offices.
Objectives
- You will lead the build and launch of two new shared services that underpin global regulatory management:
- Regulatory Engagement Service - owning the end-to-end process for technology-related regulatory interactions, ensuring consistency, governance, and quality.
- Regulatory Mapping Service - establishing and maintaining a structured inventory of global regulatory obligations mapped to technology, cyber, and data controls.
This is a greenfield-style role, focused on service design, governance, tooling, and team leadership.
Essential experience
- Proven experience in a large global bank or tier-one financial services firm
- Strong background in regulatory management, compliance, risk, or governance
- Experience leading regulatory interactions and regulatory submissions
- Demonstrated success building or standing up shared services or operating models
- Strong understanding of technology, cyber security, and data risk controls
- Experience leading globally distributed teams
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g. NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL)
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
Desirable
- 10+ years in governance, non-financial risk, audit, or compliance
- Direct experience working with financial regulators
- Exposure to regulatory mapping or regulatory intelligence frameworks
- Certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP
