Senior Manager – International Tax Reporting and Compliance
The Senior Manager – International Tax Compliance will be a key person within the International tax team which is responsible for all non-US tax matters.
Responsibilities include
- Preparing the quarterly US GAAP tax provisions under FAS109/FIN18.
- Preparing the annual current and deferred tax true-ups.
- Maintenance of FIN48/FAS5 provisions.
- Preparing and reviewing direct tax returns (including corporate tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, property tax, etc.), including but not limited to, review all calculations and forms provided by the service provider and the coordination and management of providing the proper data to the outside service provider.
- Pillar 2 Compliance and Public Cby C Reporting;
- Reviewing corporate tax calculations and adjustments to consider their financial statement impact under IFRS and USGAAP when applicable, such as the deferred tax balance included on the financial statements.
- Partnering with the US Transfer Pricing team to prepare and review Transfer Pricing documentations and the related filings.
- Coordinating with Senior members of the tax team as necessary to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all international tax processes.
- Calculating advance corporate tax payments and the related filings.
- Providing support to the tax planning and audit groups upon request.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with various teams throughout Verizon including, but not limited to, Accounting, Legal, Treasury and FP&A in order to gain compliance, accounting and reporting efficiencies.
- Assisting with the training and development of junior members of the team
- Streamlining and optimizing tax processes through the use of various digital finance tools, including Alteryx, Qlik and other technologies.
You'll need to have
- Recognised accounting qualification and six or more years of relevant work experience working either in practice or industry.
- Strong working knowledge of corporate income taxes.
- Experience of quarterly tax provisioning.
- Solid data management and automation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with individuals at all levels in a team environment and an ability to build relationships with stakeholders in peer/influence models
- An ability to navigate and negotiate through conflicting demands to maintain focus on priority objectives while ensuring key stakeholders’ needs are met.

- Experience of One Source Tax Provision and Alteryx
- Awareness of OECD and EU tax developments – BEPS, DAC6, public Cb CR
