We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planning Coordinator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with the planning department to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, efficient scheduling, and accurate procurement of materials. This role is vital in supporting business growth, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensuring engineers have the resources they need to deliver outstanding service. Key Responsibilities * Support the planning team in scheduling and coordinating planned works, ensuring deadlines and service level agreements are met. * Assist with assigning call-outs and allocating resources effectively to maximise efficiency. * Manage the ordering of parts and materials in line with customer purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness. * Acknowledge and process deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and ensuring parts are securely stored and easily traceable. * Liaise with the helpdesk to coordinate logistics, ensuring timely distribution of parts to engineers in the field. * Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and inventory to support audit and reporting requirements. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, engineers, and internal stakeholders to streamline processes. * Identify potential delays or issues in supply and escalate or resolve them to minimize operational disruption. * Provide administrative support to the planning team, including data entry, reporting, and documentation management. Skills & Experience Required * Strong knowledge of the business environment and operational workflows, ideally within a service, engineering, or technical industry. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers. * Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and respond flexibly to changing customer needs. * Good understanding of engineers’ skills and job requirements to ensure effective resource allocation. * Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and the ability to learn planning/purchasing software quickly. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. * Previous experience in planning, scheduling, purchasing, or administration is desirable
